Import Bookmarks from FVD Speed Dial

Last updated: June 8, 2026

Speed Dial 2 lets you easily migrate your FVD Speed Dial bookmarks. FVD stores your data in its own format, so this page includes a free converter that turns an FVD export into a file Speed Dial 2 can import – keeping all of your groups and bookmarks intact.

Step 1 · Export your data from FVD Speed Dial

  1. Open a new tab so FVD Speed Dial is showing.
  2. Open its Options (the gear / settings menu).
  3. Find the Export section and copy the generated JSON to your clipboard, or save it to a file.

Step 2 · Convert it below

Paste the FVD JSON into the box below (or upload the file you saved), then click Convert.

Step 3 · Import into Speed Dial 2

  1. In Speed Dial 2, open Preferences → System.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Select the file you just downloaded (speed-dial-2-import.json).
  4. Confirm the import. Your FVD groups and bookmarks will appear in Speed Dial 2.
Import and export options in Speed Dial 2 Preferences

Note: Importing replaces all of your current Speed Dial 2 bookmarks and groups. If you already have data you want to keep, export a backup first from Preferences → System.

Trouble exporting or importing?

If FVD's export looks different from what the converter expects, or the import doesn't behave as you'd expect, contact our support team and include a copy of your FVD export – we're happy to help you move over.
